Branding & Consistency
Hey there! I’m really excited to share with you the importance of branding and how it can help you create a consistent essence on the internet and in person. When people encounter you, whether it’s through social media, flyers, or in-person meetings, you want to make sure that you have a consistent vibe or essence that people can recognize and remember. This is where branding comes in.
When I first started out as a musician, I didn’t really understand branding or why it was important. But over time, I realized that branding is what helps people take you seriously as a creative, and it can even help you garner more opportunities. It also helps to create a consistent look and feel for all of your content, which can be especially important when you’re trying to reach people through ads or social media.
One key element of branding is color palettes. For example, at my company Helps2, we have a color palette of five colors that we use in all of our social media posts, newsletters, and flyers. This helps people recognize our brand and creates a consistent look and feel across all of our content. Similarly, as a musician, I use a specific set of colors that are well-known in the Southern California area. When people see those colors, they know it’s me and my brand.
Overall, branding might feel overwhelming or unnecessary at first, but it can make a big difference in how people perceive you and your work. By developing a consistent look and feel for all of your content, you can create a stronger and more memorable brand that will help you stand out and attract more opportunities.
