Creating & executing your social media strategy
In the last module, we learned about social media and how to use each network. Now, it’s time for strategy, which is like building a home. Your strategy is the paint that adds your own finesse and style to your social media presence. First, you need to decide on the two networks you will focus on, and I suggest starting with one or two if you’re new. Once you’ve decided on your networks, you can create a consistent posting plan for each platform, such as posting a video once a week on Instagram. Two helpful resources for scheduling and creating content are Buffer and Canva. If you struggle with photo editing, try using VSCO, an app with thousands of filters to help create a cohesive brand. Finally, if you’re not confident in your photography skills, find inspiration from others in your industry and consider taking a course to learn more.
